Come riportato da Fabrizio Romano, infatti, la decisione è stata presa. L’estremo difensore tedesco ha così commentato: “Il Manchester United mi aveva fatto una proposta scritta, un top club mondiale. Ieri ho informato i vertici di entrami i club che ho deciso di restare all’Eintracht Francoforte”.
